About ROMP
“One nurse at a time”
“ROMP” – the Rotary Outreach Myeloma Program – is an annual Rotary Club community service program led by the Rotary Club of Camberwell in Melbourne Australia.
Through Rotary fellowship and shared information, we engage with many Clubs across regional Australia to make a positive difference in the lives of myeloma patients living in their communities.
ROMP supports and promote the services of Myeloma Australia – the only myeloma specific charity in Australia – and encourages support for their vital work in regional communities.
We recognise and celebrate the pivotal role of registered nurses treating myeloma patients in regional cancer treatment centres. ROMP annually provides post graduate scholarships in cancer treatment for registered nursing applicants.
Through nurse education, myeloma (and all cancer) treatments will be enhanced and life outcomes will be improved. We are “tackling myeloma one nurse at a time”
ROMP is funded by its own discrete trust – “Camberwell Rotary Outreach”.
The Rotary Outreach Myeloma Program began in 2020 as a special Rotary Club program as part of the celebrations of the Centenary of Rotary in Australia in 2021.
The award-wining program supports the work of Myeloma Australia through engagement with Rotary Clubs and their communities throughout regional Australia.
Donations are tax deductible.
